MDEQ RESTORE Act Public Input Opportunity

MDEQ is in the process of developing the initial Mississippi State Expenditure Plan for the expenditure of funds under the Oil Spill Impact Component (Bucket 3) of the RESTORE Act. MDEQ received a planning grant which establishes a multi-phase, integrated and transparent process to identify potential projects for funding. MDEQ is looking for your input during this planning process. The deadline to submit your input is September 30, 2016.

RFP for Integrity Monitoring Services

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) is soliciting proposals from organizations licensed in the State of Mississippi to assist MDEQ with integrity monitoring services, on an as needed basis, related to natural resource restoration projects implemented on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, which is necessitated by the 2010 Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.

RESTORE Act Draft Comprehensive Plan Update Comment Period Open

The Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (Council) released a proposed update to its 2013 comprehensive Plan. The draft provides important additional strategic guidance for the Council to follow as it makes decisions on funding projects and activities aimed at restoring the Gulf of Mexico.
